The Somerset Collective is an extensive directory of local, independent businesses, all keen to sell their unique creations at our pop up events, and raise money for charity. The charities are chosen by our venues and over the last 10 years we've raised nearly £30,000; we look forward to carrying on this tradition at our next sales.

Louise Killen is a creator based in the Mendips and Arbourfield is a Somerset based collection which grew out of wanting to share the appreciation of simple pleasures found in countryside life, long dog walks and wild picnics. Arbourfield produces picnic rugs, blankets, and garden benches plus homewares and linens.

The Bath Soft Cheese Company are an award-winning organic dairy farm, based in Kelston, Somerset. They produce organic artisan cheeses using milk from their own herd of cows.

The Country Crib Studio are designers and makers of hard-wearing yet joyful utility wear and accessories, made with only natural materials, such as organic cotton, linen and hemp.Based in rural Somerset, they are inspired by their love of nature. Every aspect of design and packaging is considered with the environment in mind. It’s important that everything they make is ethically and sustainably sourced, with limited waste.

Makers of home fragrance with an environmental conscience. Hand made in small batches in Somerset, their candles are made with a 100% vegetable base, which is biodegradable and derived from a renewable source. Glassware is either recycled, recyclable or reusable. Formerly Monty Hop Candles.

Emily is a designer/maker based in Somerset. Her inspiration comes from growing up on a farm, her love of nature and passion for original design. Through her education in textiles and penchant for the unusual, she fell upon creating her own cowhide lampshade when she couldn't find one on the market.

Kathryn Pow Art

Kathryn is an ex fashion designer who decided to leave London to return to her Somerset roots where she picked up her pencils again. Kathryn’s illustration business all started when she was 40 weeks pregnant with a nursery project, an Animal Alphabet. The artworks make perfect personalized gifts for nurseries and children’s rooms.

Lydia is a willow basket maker from Somerset. She handmakes all her baskets in her workshop in Wincanton. She likes to bring current styles into her work while using traditional and ancient techniques.

The Mad Potter

The Mad Potter

Madeleine The Mad Potter started making pots three years ago and since then she has been madly addicted to making pots both on and off the wheel. The painting is the hardest bit, as although dots are easy people soon tire of dots and so does the Mad Potter, it sends her dotty! So she has had to expand and learn new patterns and practice her painting a lot. No two items are the same no matter how hard she tries, but that is the beauty of the Mad Potters Pottery.

MOA - Magic Organic Apothecary creates natural and organic skincare, made in England, inspired by old herbal folklore and with a sprinkling of magic! The founder Charlie lives in Somerset with her family, where she makes many of the products by hand.  She designs and illustrates the packaging, taking inspiration from magical folklore and mythology. The products are created with sensitive skin in mind, to enhance wellbeing and to practice a simple, yet effective daily skin care ritual.

Maggie Rose Home is a small business run by Leni from her home in Somerset. She makes classic and traditional children's clothes in carefully selected cotton fabric and will be introducing her new 'Homeware' selection this year. These will include lovely tableclothes as well as napkins in stonewashed linen, a classic Provencal cotton and some fun lightweight Indian hand block prints. She also offers a bespoke service should you require something specific for your table.

Somerset-based More Wine was created by Rich Hamblin, a Vintners Cup winning wine buyer and sommelier. Rich’s real passion is the supply of low intervention, high quality wine from small vineyards with an unerring focus on sustainability, eco-friendly packaging and transport logistics.

Natty Deco

Natty Deco

Natty Deco products are designed, cut and made by Maggie Powell. Taking inspiration from flora, fauna and a wee bit of folk art, Maggie uses FSC certified Birchwood and low/zero VOC paints to produce her popular range of flowers and decos which are all carefully made in small batches in her Somerset studio. Paper cut cards and friezes are laser cut using locally made papers from St. Cuthbert's Mill in nearby Wells and mounted on 100% recycled card stock.

One Oil is unisex skincare for all skin types and is cruelty free and vegan - made in tiny batches in Somerset.It is a multi tasking blend of eight organic and wild harvested botanical oils which can be used on your face, body and hair.  Made from 100% plant based oils which are full of healing properties without any chemicals, synthetics or parabens.

Pebble + Fred was founded in Australia in 2013 and in 2020 came to Somerset with a fresh new beginning and a new owner, Ruthie. Hand making beautiful polymer clay earrings in Somerset, these are perfect gifts for yourself or others.

Pure Punjabi is a mother and daughter team focusing on preserving and passing on the culinary North Indian heritage of their mothers and grandmothers. They do this via their artisan spice products and their cookery school & event space in Tintinhull.

Kellie is a chocolatier hand making small batch artisan chocolate in Somerset. Inspired by her daughter’s Kenyan partner Charlie, she’d like her customers to experience the wonderful flavours of her chocolate, including the Kenyan influence.

The Sustainable Shop is an online store based in Somerset. It aims to bring together a curated edit of tried and tested products which will help people live more sustainably. Encouraging people to buy less and buy better.

Every piece is hand made by former archaeologist Dan in his workshop in Somerset with no computer controlled machines. Dan has been making things from wood for over a decade and every piece is made to last for generations.

Waft and Co

Waft and Co

Waft & Co is based in Wells, Somerset and was founded by ex-Vogue staffer Maria Matthews. After many years of wearing Spanish hand-fans when holidaying in Andalucia, Maria increasingly found she was bringing them back to the UK to use during heatwaves here, and as an invaluable year-round aid for those pesky menopausal hot flushes!  Maria’s aim is to revive the lost art of fan wearing in the UK. Made using only sustainable woods and cotton, this is a 100% no plastic initiative!

Wild West Cider

Wild West Cider

Wild West Cider is a family-run business based in North Somerset, run by Matt Stephenson and son-in-law Sean Beaton. They make small batch craft ciders with 100% apple juice from untreated, traditional cider orchards.  Initial fermentation takes place without the addition of sugar, yeast or sulphites. When asked where the name comes from, Matt's answer is: "We're Wild because the ciders all undergo wild fermentation; we're West because we're proudly based in the West of England".
